During the course of regular business activities, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data: - Contract: when processin is necessary for performing a contract or taking steps prior to a contract. - Legal obligation: to comply with AML/KYC, tax, accounting and record-keeping - Consent: when processing is necessary for performing a contract or taking steps prior to a contract. - Vital interests: when processing is necessary to protect someone's vital interests. - Legitimate interests: when it is in our legitimate interest to develop our services and communicate with you.
3. Purpose and Lawfulness of Processing
During the course of regular business activities, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data: - Personal and contact information such as first name, last name, address, telephone number, and email address. - Personal identification data such as passport number, Emirates ID, or other government-issued identification numbers. - Employment data such as employment status (employed, unemployed, retired), and curriculum vitae data such as level of education and employment history. - Business-related information such as company name, position, (business) address, (business) phone number, and (business) email address. - KYC/AML documents: proof of identity, proof of address, incorporation documents. - Payment data: payment method identifiers (via Stripe). We do not store card details. - Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and cookies. - Communications: emails, messages, and documents shared with us.
4. Controller’s Legitimate Interest
We believe it is in our interest and in your interest to provide you with relevant updates and information. For example, we may send newsletters regarding changes in regulations or services. When processing data based on legitimate interest, we balance our interests against your rights under GDPR and other data protection laws. You always have the right to object to processing for direct marketing.
5. Recipients of Personal Data
Your data may be shared internally and externally as required for service delivery, including: - Partner free zones and authorities (e.g., IFZA, EGSH). - Subcontractors, consultants, lawyers, accountants, auditors, and research agencies. - Banking partners introduced at your request. - IT/cloud/hosting and infrastructure providers. - Stripe and other payment processors. - Regulators and authorities as required by law. - Successors in case of merger, acquisition, or restructuring. - Emergency cases where disclosure is necessary to protect life or safety. All recipients must implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures.

Data may be transferred between the UAE, Serbia, the EU/EEA, and other jurisdictions. Transfers are safeguarded by adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), or applicable UAE regulations. Where required, we ensure that contractual safeguards and international standards are applied.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary: - AML, financial, and tax records: 6–10 years after service completion. - Communications and case files: service duration + up to 5 years. - Marketing data: until you withdraw consent or opt out.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable physical, administrative, and technical measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure: - TLS/SSL encryption for website traffic. - Access restricted to authorized staff. - Secure systems and cloud infrastructure. - Payments are processed by Stripe; card details are never stored on Direkta's servers. Despite these measures, no security system can be 100% guaranteed.
9. Your Rights
As a data subject under GDPR, UAE law, and other applicable laws, you have rights including: - Be informed about how we use your data (this Privacy Policy). - Access your data. - Rectify inaccurate data. - Request erasure (subject to legal obligations). - Restrict processing. - Object to processing (including for marketing). - Data portability in a machine-readable format. - Not to be subject to automated decisions or profiling with legal effects. - Withdraw consent at any time. - File a complaint with a data protection authority.
10. Consent and Withdrawal
